Creative projects
Below you’ll find some of my most recent creative projects I’ve worked on. From developing social media strategy and coordinating influencer outreach to designing virtual worlds from the ground up, I love to breathe creativity and innovation into ideas and turn them into a product or experience that moves online and offline communities to take collective action.
Advocates for Youth x The Body Shop North America
For Pride Month, I lead a partnership with The Body Shop North America to take action for LGBTQ+ youth, where $1 from every “Out for Love” Highlighter (up to $10K) supported Advocates for Youth’s work on The Equality Act.
#OurAbortionStories
I lead the creative strategy for #OurAbortionStories, a social media campaign that encouraged people who have had abortions to share their abortion story on social media, using the hashtag #OurAbortionStories. This groundbreaking campaign reached nearly 13 million people online, with lawmakers like Rep. Pramila Jayapal sharing her abortion story and influencers like illustrator @LiberalJane creating powerful art for the campaign (see left).
In June 2023, #OurAbortionStories won a GAIN Powerful IDEA award for Best Art!
The #FreeThePill Pop-Up Shelf
In April 2022, I led the creative direction of a brand activation for the #FreeThePill campaign at Advocates for Youth. The activation was an interactive, mobile “drugstore shelf" in front of the White House that showed the public what a world could look like where an over-the-counter birth control pill is a reality. The #FreeThePill Popup Shelf looked like it had been taken right out of CVS or Walgreens, complete with Tide, Kleenex, condoms, Tylenol, Plan B, and yes, birth control pills (well, sort of).
The event launched a week of action across the country where nearly 300 young people put fake birth control boxes in their local drugstores to raise awareness about the #FreeThePill campaign. Watch the video I co-directed and produced here!
#FreeThePill Virtual Store
In collaboration with Playable Media, I lead the content strategy and design on the first ever #FreeThePill virtual store, which steps into a world where birth control pills are available over-the-counter, without age restrictions.
Deeds Debunks
At Deeds Not Words, I produced and directed a video series called Deeds Debunks, which debunked myths surrounding issues that impact young people like voting, sex education, abortion rights, and more.
Future Front Texas
As a founding board member of Future Front Texas, I was a key member in the organization’s rebranding project, providing my communications and public relations expertise, along with assisting in the data collection of community feedback surrounding the rebrand.
